I'm getting so tired of freezing! Ok, my house has gas heat/water, well no matter what I turn the heat up to it feels cold in the house (and yes the thermastat reads whatever I set it too, it works) But like if I sit in the living room and turn the heat up to 80 it feels just as warm as if the heat was set at 65 (the only difference is the bill at the end of the month) Does anyone know what could be wrong??
My landlord, a much older woman who doesn't know about this stuff, sent her son in law over and he was just plain rude, said that I didnt know how to read the thermastat well and if it says 70 then thats what it is....umm NO, cuz the thermastat is set on the same wall as the gas heater is in, so it will read higher than what it is in the whole house!! I've been through 1 full winter already, I know how to read it, I'm not that dumb! Though it is an old house, still...is the heater clogged up maybe, the fire still comes on, when it heats up. (those who have come to my house know how cold it can get, WITH the heat turned on!)
Any advice would be appreciated :)
my toes are getting cold at nite =(
