THE ELECTION

I feel the need to respond to this atrocity. I am absolutely devastated. And in shock. And in fear of what is to come, and what I will have to work to prevent. Luckily, I feel like I'm preaching to the choir on this. GET OUT AND USE YOUR VOICE. Our freedom does not have to be dismantled.

Quick response to my personal appearance in the journal of Emma Byrnes:

Question: Did you even VOTE? If not, I would make the request that you shut the fuck up immediately. If so, thank you for using your constitutional right to use your political voice.

In response to Democrats being "bad news." I doubt that you would call the rights you take for granted BAD NEWS.

Let's make a little list, just to provide a general idea of exactly what you've said:

*Women's suffrage: yes, emma, liberal men and women won your sex the right to vote. in fact, many died for it.

*The right to choose: 31 years of reproductive freedom. I doubt you'd like it if you couldn't get birth control or condoms or the morning after pill. Democrats fought for that right and continue to fight to uphold that right...while you spend your life whining.

*Freedom of speech: Censorship, etc. those are conservative ideas. Your venting space in your livejournal- a product of liberal thinking.

THE LIST GOES ON. I am personally insulted that you would include me in your livejournal since you post 75 times a day instead of using your voice constructively. If you have something to say about politics: SHUT UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT instead of trying to incite conflict in cyber space. And ALL of the people you included in your post...all activists...all using our voice. You, you do nothing.

FOR ALL OF MY LIKE-MINDED FRIENDS:

Miles to go before we sleep. We can do this. Take back these years.
