an actual post (and not more of my ranting)
hey kids! i love being able to come back here and there will always be plently of cool stuff for me to read. let's see...
i'm in pensacola now, carless. but it is okay, cuz kyle can have his parents' van sometimes. we got in town last night. we went to memphis on the 22nd, which is both my uncle bill and my brother beau's birthdays, and guess what... my cousin's baby was born that day. so now there is someone in each generation with a birthday on the 22nd. the baby's name is ryan gage (i think that's how you spell it, it's supposed to be french, help me out roula) metzger, and he is called gage. he is adorable!! he had huge feet. we went and say him first thing after dinner when we got in town. he had low blood sugar at first, so he was in an incubator, and you had to have one of the parents go with you to look at him. so i was the first to go in with josh, and we stood there for at least 15 or 20 minutes (everybody else went for like 2). it was amazing. i don't know how to describe it... josh is the first person i have grown up with to have a kid (btw, josh is my cousin who is 19). babies are really miraculous. just, ahhh, there is this new baby, gage, who i am seeing for the first time, and i already love him, and it is so crazy to just imagine how he is going to grow up so fast and wonder what he'll be like and which bone he'll break when he's 7 and what his first girlfriend will be like, ahhh. yeah.
christmas was all right... you know how there is that rule that no one can open anything until everyoen is awake. i hate that rule, cuz i never have any presents anyway... they dragged me out of bed so i could open my one present which was a pair of earrings. my siblings don't give presents, and i get money from my parents, so, yeah. umm, lots of chocolate, good food, yeah, and lots of wine. that's the cool thing about that side of the family... no one cares about that. okay, i've realized how i don't actually have anything to say, and this is pretty boring. maybe i'll have something interesting later. i love you guys!
oh yeah... kyle and i are going to come to new orleans (my mom is giving us a ride) on the 30th, so we will be there all day the 31st and everyone can meet him, yay.
