Well, Phoebe (my cat) knows something really wrong.  She won't leave my side.  An ominous sign, I think.  Maybe it's just my stress about my surgery tomorrow.  This shit SUX.

One of my Oncologists says I'm NOT getting worse...which means I'm not getting better, either.  But perhaps after this surgery, and the one on Friday- two in one week!  yay!

Yes. I had surgery on Monday of last week. I was only in the hospital for about 30 hours, they just removed a lymph node from my right side groin cluster...which is just below and to the inside of the body from the hip bone... just in from the hip joint, and just under the epidermis and dermis (skin..heheheh I'm a hapless "tard sometimes).

I'd never had surgery until I got cancer early last summer, was n remission for about 8 months and the shit came back.... so I've had 5 surgeries now... both armpits done at the same time (I was 3/8" away from having breast-cancer...close call, that one), behind my left ear, left and right side of my throat- both done at the same time, behind my left knee, and the right side groin cluster. --All lymph nodes. heheeh Weird places, huh? I hate it, though... I'm always afraid the Anesthesiologist is gonna fuck up!! That'd be a shitty way to die... and I'm just not ready to die. but swollen glands/lymph nodes hurt... you know when you get sick, and the Doc. feels right under your jaw on your neck, and it hurts? Those things are where I've got cancer.

Talk to ya soon, doll. xoxo

Sounds like a somewhat complicated surgery, even if it's just getting under your skin :P

Funny you should mention swelling and/or needing surgery in those areas, as Hannah has been having some trouble with them lately... I forget what it's called, but she's been taking silver-something, as her family relies more on homeopathic remedies and seem a hell of a lot more effective than seeing a doctor. When I find the technical name for it, I'll let ya know, as any little thing can help, and if things get worse, you can at least tell yourself you tried ^_^

Safe and speedy recovery,
-=Sage=-
