Recap:
th- surgery- blah blah blah :)
th- pretty much a haze of morphine
th- moved up to a room- takes 20 minutes and three nurses to go to the bathroom for the first time.
th- visitors from work- am dubbed 'the maniac who walked to X-ray instead of using a wheelchair' by the nurses.
th- they take out central line, both IVs and tell me to go home.
th- stairs hurt- my cat is ignoring me and hot damn am I bloody- watched Animatrix with my cousin and my head now hurts.
th. My whole life, when you listen to my heart you don't hear 'boom boom' like you do on a normal person. You hear 'boom, swish' because of the lack of valve. Suddenly, 6 days after surgery it occurs to me to listen to my heart. 'Boom, boom' I almost started to cry. I have no idea how to describe what this feels like- as if I've been given a limb I never had. It's.......amazing.
