So I did the math for how much I'm in the hole for this greece trip. Lets just say it damn well isn't very pretty. I was thinking with some incoming cash I'm getting, I miiight be able to have enough to go scuba diving, but that's looking very very stupid. It's cool though. I can't complain I thought I was gonna come out of this broke as hell. Looks like now I'll only be kinda broke. Then we look at my student loans... and I realize I'll be very poor for a long time. Gotta remember to consolidate those.
Life at home has been alright. It's one hell of an adjustment to make but I think I've finally adjusted. I sincerely think I need to kick the warcraft habit, but when I get back from Greece and no one is around it's something to do. I've been working during the morning/afternoons which is good. It's not full time but it's flexible and it's some decent cash, that and the time flies pretty quickly. The people are nice, it's a small business, they take various type of personal photos. I get to make funny faces at babies for a few hours a day which I don't mind.
Saw Christine today, I hadn't seen her in a while. It's odd that we've grown pretty far apart, gone to different schools since like middle school and have different friends and do different things but somehow whenever we see each other there is always plenty to talk about. I guess we also don't see each other very often, but I don't know a lot of the time with people I know that I haven't seen in a while the conversation stalls. Oh well we'll see.
I am really starting to like American Express. I signed up for a card with them, mostly so I could keep my greece trip on a no interest loan of sorts somewhere, but I'm really starting to like them. The phone service is really friendly. I called to ask a question about fees for my trip to greece and they were really helpful nice and all told me to have a wonderful trip and they noted it on my account so you know, no one would wonder why I was suddenly charging lots of things from greece.
I'm excited though. I'm staying here ->
http://www.villageinn.gr/ It wound up being super cheap so hopefully the pictures aren't really decieving. It looks like a really nice place though. The rooms are nothing too special but really who gives a crap. As long as they have AC. Plus the beach has turtles. Well, the water does anyway, sea turtles which is really pretty cool. It'll be nice to be in greece whn I can actually swim. Like that I'm confident enoguh to swim out places.
I think the greece excitement plus seeing people I don't usually get to see when I'm home has gotten me out of my "this place sucks I miss everyone funk" Not that I don't miss everyone, but I am really looking forward to this weekend! And it'll be okay :)
