I got back from class today to find a message on my answering machine that said, in essence, "meet me at university's emergency room. mom's there b/c of extreme dizziness and vomiting"
I found out later that she was so dizzy it took three people to get her in a wheelchair.
Everything's pretty much OK - the docs think it was an attack of Meniers Disease (no idea how to spell it) and she's home now.
Love your parents while you have them - there is no way to tell when they won't be there anymore. Better yet, apply this general rule to all the important people in your life.
