Some thoughts on House...
So, I'm currently watching House. Various episodes. I'm distantly aware of the order of the episodes, but at this point, I really don't care.
But I came to this huge epiphany: HOUSE IS PRETTY MUCH ONE GIANT ORGY.
NO, REALLY, GUYS.
Or we can go with that House is one huge man-slut. That works too.
Think about it this way--House has "tension" (the good kind, not the Ron/Hermione kind) with almost everyone on the show. Let's count it, shall we? Wilson, Cuddy (though I'm still kind of weirded out by that pairing--more on that later), Cameron (OMG THEY PRACTICALLY HAD TOTALLY AWESOME SEXYTIEMS ON THE SHOW), Foreman (in the, "I don't really like you, but I can sort of admire your method to the point I become House-lite"), Taub (OMG we're all so interested in your sex life because we're all doing you!), Thirteen (AGAIN, OMG THE PRACTICAL SEXYTIEMS), and even Amber, to some extent.
Chase was left out, but he TOTALLY WANTED IT, GUYS. AND HE FELT ALL ANNOYED HE WAS LEFT OUT, WHICH IS WHY WHEN CAMERON DECIDED TO HOOK UP WITH HIM WHILE HIGH, HE SEIZED HER IT WITH BOTH HANDS.
Oh, and Kutner/Big Love were totally dancing around each other, but Big Love totally ruined it with he tried to get Kutner fired.
And then everyone all had tension with each other, too--Thirteen, Cameron, Foreman, AND Chase (he's finally in the thick of things, but because he's unhappy because House won't do him, not even in sympathy sex.
Then Thirteen, Cameron, and Wilson...(which I want fanfiction of, guys. With plot, k?)
House, Thirteen, Wilson, and Cameron (which I ALSO want fanfiction of).
Wilson, Cuddy, Foreman. (I will admit, this kind of weirds me out. Mostly because the idea of imagining Cuddy or Foreman in any sort of pairing just squicks me out.)
Thirteen and Taub (can we talk about the flash scene???)
However, on a more serious note:
Cuddy.
I like her well enough as a character. I love that she can take House down with a well-done comment. That she colludes with Foreman and Wilson to take down House.
I do not like Cuddy and House together.
I like House's flirting, both playful and not with her. I like her reactions to House's flirting.
I did not like that House went all wonky this past season and acted like Cuddy's choices weren't good choices. House isn't the most respectful by any means, but he is not and never will be a sexist pig. This past season undid that, and that bothers the hell out of me. He flirts with the women on his team and connects with them--perhaps because he doesn't fully understand them and wants to. He can be a real bastard to them, just like he can to the men on his team. But he can also be very gentle (Cameron and the ghost dead husband; Thirteen and Huntington's). Never, ever, ever has he acted on the opinion that they're making bad choices by telling them they're bad choices (except Foreman/Thirteen, and that's a boss thing.). Or, at least, not the choices on their personal lives.
And then, after all of that, Cuddy just dumps Cute!Younger!Man for House? DO NOT AGREE.
This doesn't mean I won't be watching the new season of House. I'll just be seeing if they change my mind
