So, since I'm unemployed and have no plans for either going to any school or finding any job as yet (although I assure you I've been looking), I somehow thought it would be a good idea to see if I couldn't figure out how much it would cost me and a travel companion to get to Memphis. This was mostly inspired by Tiff's Experimental Travel book and its suggestion that I "go on a trip in which you visit places from song lyrics", but I must not fail to mention that I am in Bridgewater and hating it and up for practically any diversion. This was also probably a factor.
Travelcuts says that two people can fly from Halifax to Memphis, with stops in either Atlanta or Boston, for $1266.36 including taxes and whatnot.
Hostels.com doesn't seem to think that there are any hostels in Memphis. Presumably there are several garishly-decorated Elvis-themed hotels in the area.
If someone could suggest forcefully that I FIGURE OUT WHAT THE HELL TO DO WITH MYSELF BEFORE PLANNING ANY MORE TRIPS, I would be much obliged.
And if someone could suggest any kind of school or job for which I might be well-suited, I would be much obliged to you too.
