Since I have the house to myself (the extended family have gone into the city to drink coffee until the start of the football match the extended family is in town to see), I'm starting my Downton Abbey marathon now, so I can get as far through the series as possible in one night before they get back. And I just realised, with my copy of North & South also sitting beside me, that the opening scene with Bates travelling by train is pretty much identical to the opening scene with Margaret Hale travelling by train, and this is even more amusing because Bates is played by Brendan Coyle and I'm the only one who finds this amusing, aren't I?

Never mind.
