It keeps making the same noise....
The Shiny MacBook Pro has been making weird noises for a week now. Like, noises it never made before. And then two days ago Daring Fireball linked to this article, and you know what? Some of those noises sound rather disturbingly familiar. I am arranging to have the Shiny looked at with the place of purchase, but this won't happen until Friday. Intellectually I know I should just shut it down and keep it shut down... but I want to still be able to use it, dammit! I know that I'll probably be without my Shiny for at least a week if I am right, so I am also in the middle of backing up my iTunes to Serenity the Portable Harddrive, and I hope to back up some photos and downloaded fanstuffs between that and Traveller the USB Stick. Possibly there will be some DVDs in the burner shortly, depending on space.
Given that Shiny is not quite 3 months old (purchased in full on the 22nd of August), I am sure Consumer Advocates would have Issues with the noises my harddrive is currently making. However, I am overall still so very pleased with the Shiny that while I am pissed off, I am still so very much in love with it.
(however, even if he is following 17,633 other people, too (and thus will never read anything I Tweet anyway), this is still made of win)
