Am back. Not that most of you would have noticed I was gone, but am back anyway. Completely and utterly behind on EVERYTHING. *flails* This is why I don't cope without the internets; I have to spend hours and hours catching up and OMG.
Melbourne was fantastic, as per usual. Had to resist spending every cent I don't have, as per usual. I was

Any art relating to Alice should be Weird and Strange because Alice is very Weird and Strange. Even the Disney Cheshire Cat creeps me out and it's *Disney*.
I'm glad you had a fantastic time in Melbourne, sweets.
Again, I'm so proud of you re: Dr. Who scarf! Yay you!

I'm so very proud of finishing the scarf; my mother says it isn't finished because I still have to sew in the ends, but I'm doing more of that during Crossing Jordan tonight. Which I'm missing The Closer to watch. This is what you've done to me ;)
Will have to catch up SOON. I miss you!

As for sewing in ends, pshaw. I've currently got four dishcloths and ten squares that I consider done and none have the ends sewn in. So there. ;p
I miss you. *hugstight*

Am still sewing ends into the scarf... my mother is giving me grief over it *rolls eyes* but I purchased new needles today that, like, actually fit the yarn through the eye!! It tends to help ;) Am distracting myself by knitting the rest into a Doctor Who coloured patchwork blanket, and sewing it at the same time. I expect this one, however, will remain unfinished, because I don't have a pattern to follow. I get frustrated when I have to choose my own colours etc.

I can see that you working in a craft store is as bad as working in a bookstore because you seem to buy everything :p I don't blame you, though, because I think i would, too.
Alas, Spotlight here doesn't run a similar blanket program, but there's one room in our house that is always hot and one that tends to be cold (for Australia) and we have throw-blankets in there for when we want to be in a room that doesn't have a TV, so this one will be going there, too.
Everything I knit is garter stitch, because I'm Sad and like the easy option. Although I have an urge to knit Ron's hat from PoA, so who knows where following a Proper Pattern will go (my mother just knitted herself a poncho, and my father thinks I should, too).
I'm looking forward to the Crossing Jordan crossover, I am, although I keep getting more and more Jordan/ ( ... )

I love the relationships she has with her morgue colleagues. Bug is the closest to a 'colleague' but they've had a couple good moments. (The end of what ended up being the S4 premiere where they're stuck in the tunnel... and had her going for drinks with her boys. *BG*) Nigel is brother, best friend, the guy who's got something of a crush... Garret's sometimes mentor, father figure, boss, best friend - girlfriend *G* - and sometimes a hint of something else depending on the moment. As you know, most CJ fic pushes me buttons, but still I read. Actually, one of the better authors - J/W mostly - used to be a B/A gal: Nynaeve. She can push my buttons, too, but at least this season there's been a little less St. Woody since he was such an ass. *mutters* Couldn't being to point you toward J/G fic of any kind sadly. :(
My initial point? Oh right, iconses yay!
