Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde aired here last night, and proved all my theories on why Heath Ledger lost the Academy Awards justified (I mean, other than the fact that Philip Seymour Hoffman just put in an amazing performance).
Channel 7 kept advertising the film as "starring Academy Award winner Reese Witherspoon", and went so far as to photoshop a golden statuette into Elle's hands.
The world just isn't ready for an advertising campaign for A Knight's Tale "starring Academy Award winner Heath Ledger" and with William holding a statuette, or (even worse) 10 Things I Hate About You "starring Academy Award winner Heath Ledger".
