Doctor Who DVD, yay!

Yesterday, when I picked up the second of my pre-ordered copies of Half-Blood Prince (I took no chances -- I didn't know if I was going to get into town, so I ordered one locally, too -- although this one my family is going to buy off me), the Collins store (which is also the local ABC store) had a massive display of Doctor Who DVDs next to their massive HP display. I abused them, naturally, because they clearly just wanted to empty my bank account. But I resisted the Tom Baker DVDs and just bought the volume 1 for this current series.

So yes, there will be icons at some stage. Not right now, because PowerDVD has a nasty habit of cutting off my dial-up connection, but some time soon.

I also did something I am completely and utterly ashamed of. Because of The End of the World, I bought a Britney Spears CD for the first time ever. It was under $10 and I have this urge to listen to Toxic now whenever I think of Nine.

It also settles it. I am totally learning how to vid when I get this new computer (I now have all the info for my tax and just have to fill out all the forms) because I need to do a Nine tribute to Toxic and a Rose/Nine vid to Such Great Heights, by either Iron and Wine or The Postal Service, it doesn't much matter which (although I'm leaning towards the latter).

ultimate fangirling day, doctor who
