Yes, I am a Bush supporter. And Yes, Bush won. I have to admit that I am surprised at how large his margin of victory was. Bush won the popular vote by a margin that was SIX TIMES LARGER than that with which Gore won in 2000. READ THIS: BUSH RECEIVED MORE VOTES THAN ANY PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES. MORE PEOPLE

Scott, i know you're smart enough to realize what this actually means, but you're choosing not to. The past two presidential elections have both been rediculously close, with each candidate within about 1% of the other. For the sake of simplicity let us assume that Gore won the vote in 2000 by 2 votes. Bush winning this year with a margin "6 times larger" than the margin that Gore won with would come out to be 12 votes. If you do the math the closer the candidates are (within 1% is as close as it gets) the smaller the margin becomes. 6 times an incredibly small number doesn't automatically make it a large number. Any president that has won with 52ish% or more has won by more than Bush.
With regards to "All the major countries in the UN believed that Iraq had WMD"...there was absolutely no concensus within the UN that Iraq posed a threat the the US or the world. The reason the US chose to act (for the most part) unilaterally is because they did not have the support in the UN to back them up (most likely, no vote was ever actually taken). In this respect, I don't think its justified to call Noah "blind" to the issue when you are misrepresenting it. I still STRONGLY suggest reading "A Time of Our Choosing" bye Todd S. Purdum if you are interested in an objective analysis of the conditions building up to the war in Iraq and the early operations in it. I guarantee it is not liberal propaganda bullshit, but moreso just stating the facts of the case.
Your opinion on gay marriage is your own personal choice. There aren't absolute facts that I have that can prove or disprove either way as right or wrong, so that is your own moral choice you have to make. However, I must ask whether you really think it is right to praise the fact that the entire government is now controlled by the Republicans. Our government was created with a system of checks and balances in mind, as we all learned in 8th grade. By having all the wings of the government under the same mindset, it somewhat defeats that purpose. This is only my own opinion, but I think that the best decisions can only be made under careful scrutiny and analysis. When everyone thinks the same the vital process of criticizing and improving something is skipped, leaving it less than what it could potentially have been.
Take this how you want to. I doubt anything I say will really make any difference anyways, but if you have managed to read this whole thing then you'll know that I only really called into question things that were misrepresentative. As much as "6 times" Gore's margin is, Bush did NOT have a landslide victory. I agree that Kerry is doing the right thing by not making a giant legal fuss over the election and we are able to maintain a peaceful atmosphere. Calling for recounts if there is no real evidence of mistakes being made would only serve to further divide the populace and drag the electoral process on painfully longer.
