A True Gay Role Model
So yesterday I bitched to many about corrupt gay closet politician Jim McSkeevey. And he seems to be everywhere now. I do take some solace in the fact that soon enough the hubbub will fizzle and he will once again be a footnote at best.
But today I am thrilled to focus on a true gay role model Barney Frank. Yes he had his scandals too I know, but blowing a Page while supporting equality on the Hill isn't as grievous to me. Anyway we have been invited to a dinner party for Rep. Barney Frank next month. Yes it's a meet and greet fundraiser but we contribute anyway and almost never get a dinner out of it. The few banquets we have attended the wait staff had the most contact with the key speakers anyway and the food is never that good. So this is going to be a big deal for me. Will I make a fool out of myself and say something inappropriate? Probably not, but I can't rule it out, I'll have a few people on hand to tackle and gag me so I'm not too worried.
I have no idea what I'm going to wear. I wonder if he'll let me sit on his knee like Santa for a picture?
