There are some poetic techniques I've been wanting to play around with. For example, I've noticed that a lot of my poetry talks about "I, me, you, him" aka pronouns. I wanted to write something that reflects my thoughts and feelings, is inspired by what's going on in my life, but avoids pronouns. This is the result. "another's words" is cheating a little, but I felt as though the emphasis on the words not belonging to the writer/speaker was too important.
Falling for a Friend Not Yet Made
Starting to fall
Don't know why
What is a stranger
But a friend not yet made
Something is there
A feeling sans name
Reading another's words
Inspires writing more
Unknown connections
With a potential friend
Changing a heart
Falling for lyrics
Edit: Feedback is always nice...
