gotta love being sick on vacation
So due to the not-so-intimidating Hurricane Ida, school got canceled for Monday afternoon and Tuesday, and we already had Veteran's day off. Which is pretty sweet, right? Oh, except for me getting a headache Monday night and having the flu all day on Tuesday. My head was still killing me Wednesday and this morning so much that I had to miss all my classes, and internship presentation, and Assossor training for the Assessment Center opening up.
I took myself to Urgent Care this afternoon after talking to my mom and thinking I had a sinus headache. I had a fever, and the doctor goes, "Women are so much tougher than men. You come in here with a fever and say you're feeling better. If I guy came in here with that kind of fever, he'd be curled up and saying he's dying." Needless to say, I have antibiotics for my sinus headache.
I was looking forward to getting so much work done duing the week, and instead I got incapacitated and wanted to decapitate myself because my head hurt so badly. So now I've missed classes and need to make sure I keep on top of the readings for today and get ready for next week, and kick my butt into gear with all the damn papers. I'm hoping I'll feel well enough to get to a meeting in the morning, then come home and be uber-productive.
My friend is finally out of the hospital and recovering from the ordeal. Hopefully they can stabilize her moreso and do a better job regulating her Lupus.
I will be glad when this semester is over.
