ok.... UL has now crossed the line.. they explained at orientation to 500 students that if you didn't yet complete and turn in the fafsa form, they deduct TOPS for one semester from you. I have called TOPS they told me that tops and fafsa are not directly affiliated. tops is state and fafsa is federal. i called fafsa and they told me the same thing. this meaning the school cannot penalize people using tops for not turning in a fafsa. either nobody knows their ass from their elbow or the University of Louisiana at Lafayette is facing a masive law suit. either way.. i am fucking screwed because of all of this
