I have absolutely no problem with you saying that the Bible says abortion and gay marriage are sins. However, the United States is not supposed to be run by the Bible. There is supposed to be a seperation of Church and State, it says so in the Constitution if you need any further proof. This is why I don't understand why people support Bush for these reasons (I got your lj name from the teens for bush thing), it is wrong and immoral to force your own morals upon people who aren't necissarily that religion! I am by no way attacking your faith or what you believe is right, I'm just saying that yours is not the only religion out there, there are so many others. What if Bush was Jewish and decided to make a law stating that you could ONLY go to Church on Saturday? See what I mean, it's unfair ( ... )

The United States isn't being run by the Bible. It's the furthest thing from it. That's why there's premartial sex, gay marriages, divorce, banned Bibles, banned "Merry Christmas", no praying in schools, and..yeah.

And, I don't like Kerry or Bush. They're both evil men to me. But, I supported Bush over Kerry because he believed what I believed.

And, the thing is, Bush isn't stating a law saying you could only go to church on Saturday.

Btw, I'm not Catholic. I'm Christian. And because of what God says, and what I know is right, I'm against gay marriage and abortion.

"When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn."

No, the US is not being run by the Bible which is a good thing. My point was that it shouldn't be because it would alienate a large percentage of US citizens who do not follow the Bible (like Jews, Hindus, Muslims, etc ( ... )

I’m sorry it’s taken me such a long time to reply to your comment, but I’ve been overrun the past few days, averaging 100 emails a day. *sighs*

This country was founded on God. English Puritans sailed to America. True, there were those who came only for the excitement, or money, but mainly, so that the Puritans could be free to worship God.

When do you think a child is actually “alive”? There’s the controversy.

Abortion is the fifth main reason for maternal deaths.

:D You’re my favorite person to be debating about this right now. Funny, but I was going to say the same thing about Kerry fans. Lol. But, let’s not get into that…I think both guys are bad.

I agree with you about abortion and gay marriages!

My Mum said that when the Baby's are getting aborted, that they can fill the air being sucked out of them! Its so sad!

There was a testimony about this lady that was having an abortion, and she didn't know if she wanted to do it. well after she had the abortion, she came out crying and stuff, then this other lady that was sitting next to her said: Ahhh! you'll get over it! this is my 7th abortion!

That is just so wrong!
Poor little children!

The thing is, we believe in Truth over tolerance. If she were Baha'i, then you wouldn't be seeing this post. We shouldn't have to stand aside and accept this modern American culture and these liberal views just because it's what the majority is doing or because others don't believe the same way. If Bush was Jewish and wanted to try to make a law stating that you could ONLY go to church on Saturday, you would see protesting from (not all - as some do have their service on Saturday) Christians because that goes against our beliefs. I don't see what I believe just as "my beliefs" but as "the Truth."

Sorry, I was just looking through some comments and something you said stood out. "There is supposed to be a seperation of Church and State, it says so in the Constitution if you need any further proof." Um, like, where? First ammendment? I'm not saying you haven't, but out of curiosity, have you read the Constitution? I have, and I can't find it anywhere saying there's supposed to be a separation between Church & State. Or, maybe I just didn't see (I do tend to skip over things when it's something boring..like *coughs* the Constitution.)
