fic-writing

Very few people have been commenting on Tabula Rasa, but I know a number of people are reading it because of the way the view count keeps shooting up after I update. I'm not sure whether this is a good thing or not, but the lack of comments is a little discouraging given I did tend to get a number back before I vanished off the face of the earth.

I'm also running out of reserve chapters; I have two more left. Originally this wasn't going to be a problem because I'd intended to write Tabula Rasa for NaNoWriMo, but when November started I got hijacked by two other ideas in quick succession and ended up doing a fic for ABC's new Once Upon A Time (which is fantastic and everyone should watch it right now). The problem is that I really don't want to have to hiatus Tabula Rasa or start having long periods of time when it's updated, because I've been there and done that and I'm trying to do better; and yet all the time I would usually use to write is being eaten by NaNo because that's the story that's currently in my head.

Sigh. What I really need is a self-discipline pill, so I can just sit down and write Tabula Rasa when I have the chance and don't need to up my NaNo count. The irony is, all the writing I've been doing lately has apparently been sapping my roleplay drive, because I had a period there of over two weeks in which I didn't do anything and I'm still having trouble continuing threads from before my sudden muse death, even the ones I want to do. I'm managing to get back into it now, but apparently I have only so much writing-motivation to spare and haven't quite learned how to share it between fics and roleplay.

(Also, in case you missed it: Once Upon A Time is awesome and you should all watch it right now.)

writing, pokemon, sppf, once upon a time, roleplay, fanfic
