Godammit!
Okay, so we're editing and publishing a book. Scary. We've got four people on the team with the class tutor if we need help and an extra tutor in every now and then for extra help while the class tutor deals with the other groups. Plenty of help, plenty of people to do the work. No problem.
Only it's due in TWO FUCKING WEEKS and now our class tutor apparently doesn't like our title (and hasn't even told us WHY IT'S BAD) and now is telling us to brainstorm SEVERAL titles AND COVER ART IMAGES to be ready to ask the class about when we present the project in two weeks.
WHAT THE FUCK. WE'RE HAVING TROUBLE FINDING JUST ONE THING TO USE AS A COVER FOR ONE TITLE LET ALONE SEVERAL.
And what the fuck is wrong with the title, anyway? Okay, so maybe I'm taking it kind of personally (considering it was my idea) but the least she could do is tell us WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. The other tutor likes the idea.
Could be she's just playing devil's advocate and telling us to have more so we'd be prepared but ... NO. Editors' rule number I-have-no-idea. DO NOT MAKE WORK FOR YOURSELF. She wouldn't tell us to do more if she didn't think it was justified.
But then she doesn't pull her punches either. If she thought it was crap she'd say so.
I'm confused. And stressed. And a little put upon. I wish this term was over.
