Now That's What I Call Music
I never realized how much time I spent finding new music until I couldn't spare the time any more. I still try to find new stuff, but it's a lot harder, since it sort of has to come to me now.
In any case, I'm making this post because I just bumped into a musician who made me say "holy crap" for the first time in a while:
Robert Delong
His style appears to be the end result of teenage years goofing around with whatever synth equipment he could get his hands on, augmented with a bit of creative engineering, a surprisingly good drumming skill, and a big spoonful of overexcited insanity. His music would be fantastically produced for someone his age, but when you consider how he performs large portions of it live it's amazing for anyone.
His first official video just came out and is a bit goofy/dumb, and doesn't quite get across why he's awesome (which he is, BTW).

And while I'm here, I'd also like to say that Macklemore is far more intelligent and capable than that "Thrift Shop" single would make you think. What I realized after watching a few of his videos is that he adapts his style and methods on each song to fit the lyrical drive.
Thrift Shop - all about taking something cheap that someone else threw away and making it interesting
And We Danced - all about dancing (or making video or singing) like no one is watching
Same Love - a serious song about LGBT issues
