HDCP may be permanently hacked.
If so, it doesn't matter how fancy your Blu-Ray encryption or secure-online-only video service is, because the signal has to get to the TV at full quality over HDCP in the end, and it can just be copied then.
Unless, of course, the industry wants to boot HDMI/HDCP to the curb and obsolete every digital TV bought in the past 5 years? I don't think PR could spin that hard enough to work.
