Bizarro Car News

When Koenigsegg bought Saab, they couldn't afford it themselves and acquired extra funding from other sources, some of which was provided in exchange for shares of Koenigsegg.

It was just recently revealed that a large part of that funding was from Chinese car manufacturer SAIC. They reportedly have a very large but non-controlling share in Koenigsegg, which has a controlling share of Saab. So indirectly, Saab is partially owned by SAIC.

The odd thing is that SAIC happens to be the same Chinese car company that bought up the remnants of MG three years ago.

So now all of my cars are partially retroactively (sort of) from the same (Chinese) company.

Who'd'a thunk it?
