Wedding playlists
In case anyone was curious what some of that music was, but mostly for my own future nostalgia, these were the playlists from my wedding day.
So, there were three playlists: Cocktails, Dinner, and Party. I kept most of the obscure stuff in dinner or cocktails, since people don't like dancing to music they don't know. There were a few duplicates between lists, mostly intentional, only one or two accidental. They were arranged such that it should be a long time between repeats and no one would care.
We didn't actually play all the way through any of the lists, since I had made them too long on purpose in case things ran slow. I think we got to the mid-upper-20s in the cocktail list, and somewhere around 30-ish on the dinner list. I wasn't really keeping track and wasn't there for a huge chunk of cocktails, so I don't know for sure. During dancing, I jumped in around track 15 or 16 and started hopping the music all around the list. The list should contain everything we played during dancing though, except for Beastie Boy's "Intergalactic".
Not mentioned at all on the lists were the wedding processional (Vivaldi's "Winter"), the wedding recessional ("Throne Room and End Title" from Star Wars episode IV), the cake cutting music (Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up"), the first dance (Pretender's "I'll Stand By You" (slowed down to 92% speed for danceability)), and the father-daughter/mother-son dance (Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World").
