Ugh.

This is shaping up to be a fun semester.

I'm stage managing a show where my musical director is also in another show and the schedule is supposed to consider both equally and allow for him to be a part of both without major conflict. Hah. The director of the other show is royally screwing us over. And over. And over. How does one put on a musical without a musical director?

On top of that my director for that show is frustrated with me because I haven't been able to book the spaces he wants for rehearsals all the time. This is impossible to do however because there are 5 groups trying to pull together productions and sharing a grand total of three decent spaces to rehearse in.

In addition to this some of my cast is getting antsy because they are having "identity crises." When are they what character and why? Does having a through line make sense? Can't we please just sit and discuss it?? As if we even have time.

Also the kids show I manage on Fridays is about to get real interesting this Friday since we're losing three of our cast of nine and just had to recast everything with only one walk through to practice the new parts.

And as if that weren't enough the play I'm producing is supposed to be casting this week but the department show refuses to put up its cast list and we have last priority on actors so even though there is a lot of interest in our show no one can audition for ours until they know if they'll be used in the other. PS- we still don't have a master electrician.

I just want to be freaking out over whether or not I'm going to get cast in the department show, but instead I have all this other crap to deal with.

Not to mention I'm bummed that I can't even audition for the show I'm producing because I'm producing it (and I really have and had no interest in being the one producing it)

Oh, and by the way I sincerely dislike some of my classes this semester. There are some I enjoy though.

Woot.
