I'm really annoyed and it doesn't even have anything to do with me.
There's this woman on the news. She and her partnet froze some embryos because she was going to have cancer treatment that would leave her infertile. They broke up later on before the embryos could be implanted and he decided he didn't want her to use them, even though they were the only embryos she could ever have. The courts ruled today that she couldn't use them.
What a selfish bastard! Maybe he has issues with her, maybe he's still angry over the break up, but that was her only chance. If those embryos had been fertilised the natural way then he wouldn't have a say in it. Those were her children, the only children she would ever have and some court ruled that they have to be destroyed because the 'father' decides he doesn't want them.
It just seems wrong. The guys says that he feels that he should be allowed to chose with who and when he has children but didn't he already make that decision when he gave permission in the first place? Once those eggs were fetilised they were alive he should stand by that and shouldn't take this woman's only chance to have her own biological children away from her. What a wanker! I can't believe how pissed off I am about this. It's like, imagining what she must be going through makes me want to punch that mans lights out. Poor thing, if only she'd frozen some eggs she could have found herself a decent man to father her children, not that selfish arsehole.
