Hello readers!!!!

here i am, using horrible grammar, once again! But, it DOESN'T matter, because guess where I am???? HMMM???!!! thats right, im in L.A. updating my LJ, i just love you guys soooo much. Last nite, after coming in from an amazing night of revelry, i discovered that the hotel had computers!!!!! so, i got up early the next day (today) and decided to come down here and finish some unfinished english projects that needed to be emailed to my english teacher by today, and was going to be late, cause i was going to be on a trip, with no access to computers, but hey! here i am.

Well, so far, L.A. is great. We got here on friday night and pretty much just went straight to our hotel. My roomies are Hilary Dockray, Jennifer Jones, and Candace Hudson: the "Junior" room. twill be quite exciting, im sure. Well, on saturday, we had to get up at seven, in order to eat breakfast at eight, in order to leave for the beach at eight thirty. we went to Balboa Pier to go swimming in the beautiful CA beaches, but the weather turned out to be cold, so only the daring, (or foolish, you be the judge) decided to venture into the waters. I was not one of them, i took the advantage of the great photo opportunity, and i think i got some great shots! teehee. Then, a bunch of us went shopping. That was fun, got some stuff, but you don't really care what i got, so i'll continue...

My uncles, who live around L.A., that i have not seen in a couple years, when they found out i was going to be in L.A. for a weekend, were excited at the prospect of coming to visit me. They said they were going to come to our pier and come have lunch with me or somehthing, but when i called them, they said that they were busy now, but might try to come later... they never did. we left the beach at noon, and i called them to tell them i was leaving and that we should try getting together somewhere else, like at my hotel, but i guess that didn't interest them too much, so this will be my first trip to L.A. with out visiting with the extended family... I have mixed feelings about this....

After the beach, we went to our hotel to change, and headed to disneyland/california adventure. I wanted my group to save best for last, so we went to california adventure, and mostly spent the day trying to decide what to do next... and then we rode two rides over and over again. Overall, a good day, got some quality time in with some of my junior chorale buddies that i don't get to see that often. Oh! and i bought a "dumbo airlines" pin. My group included, Sydney Weitkanut, Anne Herman, Hilary Dockray, and Sam Osbourne. we all matched ourselves up to one of the disney princesses and got a pin of our princess. Anne (the true red head) is of course ariel, Hilary is Belle from beauty and the beast, Sam's princess is Cinderella (but we decided, she was truly Alice in wonderland), and Sydney is tinkerbell. Its funny how alike they all look to their characters. We couldn't really decide who i was, we settled on Anastasia, even though she is not a disney princess, and then later, when we were looking at the pins, we decided i was the sexy redhead from the Rodger Rabbit movie, you know who i'm talking about! but, i still got a dumbo pin instead. lol. nothing else extrememly exciting happened that day, just the usually disney land stuff; Lego land, disney princess parade, etc.

So, sunday, we got up, and didn't leave until 9, so we had a more relaxed breakfast and such. Then, we went to universal studios. I had never been there before, so it was a whole new experience for me. It was great, much more entertaining that California adventure... and we got to do a whole lot more. well, that day, the group consisted of me, Alex Conser, Veronika Evans, Hilary Dockray, Preston Walker, Wes Walker (Yes, brothers), Kristin Butterfras, and Hayley Mims. Quite an exciting group. Alex was his usual over organized self, but it worked out, because it was nice to have a plan of action is such a big park, that none of us were familiar with. Another good day, spent about six bucks on a really cool moulin rouge poster.

After universal studios, we left at five to make our reservations at "Pirate's Adventure!" (basically like medieval times, but with Pirates... live performance while eating... audience participation, etc) Well, the performance was actually really good, none of them could really sing, except for the crazy red head that played the captains wife, and she was frik frakin amazing, and they had an amazing acrobat, that had absolutely no purpose, except to be the acrobat/ gypsie person. but, the princess/ damsel in distress, really had nothing going for her, really ugly/fat, not a good voice, horrible acting, etc. But, it was really fun, and then after the dinner, there was a party in the bar area. I didn't think nags would let us stay, but HE DID! and it was the most fun ive had in choir this year. We, of course, we formed that mad dance circle/ cheer thing, and i think i surprised everone with my dancing... haha, they totally weren't expecting me to dance the way i did...twas very fun. WE were all booty dancing, and then Mr. Abrams and Mr. Ragsdale joined us, and it was just amazing. And then, on the way out, i ran into the (DEAD SEXY) actors who played all the different pirates, and i ran at one of them, and he grabbed me and swung me around over and over again, and i sang, and he said i should join the show, and it was definetely one of the most amazing things i have EVER experience. now that i read it is sounds really dorky, but it was amazing at the time, you just had to be there.

So, got on the bus, and everyone started feeling gross from all their mad dancing directly after eating, but it was still an AMAZING nite. I was in the elevator to go up to my room (just after i had discovered the computers in our hotel) and one of the choir guys, Darius, was like... Can i have your number??? and so, i gave it to him.... haha. but, it was my house number, not my cell (since i don't have one) so... yeah...

AND NOW! i have gotten up at 6:45 in the morning to work on an english project to email to my teacher, and i have spent the time so far updating you all on my nice little trip to L.A. I'm sorry, but i MUST go now, ill update the rest when i get home.... or something.

Oh, and karl, since i just discovered this computer, i will be sending you the pictures ASAP!

tootles,
Kirsten
