Being that you are a Visual Kei artist, I'm sure that you get your share of skepticism. That's the beauty of theater. Being able to voice and do things that normal society would not allow. Being open and free with the inner muse despite public view which is why Marilyn Manson has received the fame that he has. Take a look at Slipknot. They went with the same principle. They are performers. Performers that dared to cross where others stayed in a comfort zone.
Role playing is a wonderful outlet and it allows me to embrace my characters a little better. It also allows me to come up with new material for improvisation which I couldn't do in a real life setting. It keeps the humor sharp. There are times that I take a little with me from other characters and add it to my own. Of course, I give credit where credit is due at the end of the show.
I used to be on Bebo and that fell like a rock. The humor was lost, the interactions were sporadic at best and most times I had invites to places where I could care less. I've never met a better bunch as I had on LJ.
Like any character, eventually I will venture into the dark side with at least one of them.
