Diabetes review

Oct 13, 2017 23:37

I had a diabetes appointment today so that I could be prescribed gliclazide. But my blood test results average 5.1 over the past 7 days, 5.6 over 14 days and 6.6 over 30 days. She said the target is 5.5. Given that, if she prescribes gliclazide I'll just keep going hypo.

She has referred me again for podiatry.

She weighed me so I could have more orlistat. I have lost 1 stone and 5 lbs in the past 23 days. This means I've already smashed the 3 month target of losing 5% body mass. I've already lost 8% before the first month is up. And all of this is basically down to it removing the quetiapine cravings. My basic diet is the same. Although I am digesting only 2/3 of fat consumed, with chocolate basically gone there isn't very much fat anyway.

They are going to repeat my hba1c test in January, but being mindful that the number is artificially low.

Despite the appointment taking over half an hour, that's basically all.
