Leaving my mom's house a few minutes ago, I pulled up behind a cop who used his lights to turn left at a red light. I simultaneously thought "What an asshole!" and "What a genius!" because that light is seriously one of the longest in town. You can sit there for five minutes or longer on any given night at 10:00 when no one else is in sight. It's often faster to make a right turn and then a U-turn instead of waiting for that light to change. Man, I wish I had cop lights...
