I saved a life today
Just a typical Becca day I guess!
So my fiance, Greg, was driving me back to my dorm at around 5:30pm today. And we decided to drop by my sister's house last minute to drop off some camping supplies we had used earlier on in the week. When we were driving on the four lane highway, we saw something in the middle of the road, and Greg slowed the car down a little... it was then that we noticed a baby in the middle of a busy 4 lane road. I jumped out of the car, while it was still rolling, and ran to the small child. He turned around (only 1 1/2 or 2 years old) and thought it was a game, and started to run away from me to incoming traffic. Adrenaline pumped through my body, and I ran and grabbed him and jumped to side of the road. I looked at his face, and he was a hispanic boy with a confused look on his face... afterall who was this stranger that had just grabbed him? I started speaking spanish to him asking him where is mama and papa were and it calmed him down and he started smiling. After knocking on several houses, a mom came out crying for her baby. He had evidently gotten out of the house because of someone leaving a door open. God still works miracles. Praise Him!
