Orihime hadn't really noticed the post to the network - she wasn't that good at using her CommLink just yet. Instead, she'd heard about it from Ichigo and figured it would be a good opportunity to meet with some other "Awakened" and see if they could all compare notes. Or maybe even just hear more stories about what they were like in their home worlds.

So with that in mind, she approached Aqua.

"Is this the meeting...?"

"Welcome!"

At this, Ami spoke. Because, really. She hated that Their paths were crossing rather constantly in such a short time. Amusing and slightly irritating.

And that smile she gave Orihime was really anything but welcome.

Oh, it's this girl again. Well, this was awkward. And somewhat frightening - she wasn't still mad about being bumped into in the tram station, was she?

"O-Oh, hi! I don't... I don't think I got your name last time."

No, Ami wasn't mad. Maybe. It was a little deeper than just running into her, the reasons for her decision to not like Orihime. Perhaps, just like her back home, Ami wants to hate, and enjoy toying with this one, as if doing so might get back to Sailor Moon back home, so alike as they were. Maybe even hurt Orihime a little - but just in a small way, nothing so drastic like the fate waiting for Usagi-chan. In the end, after all, this girl wasn't an opponent yet?.

"No, but I've gotten yours since!" Smile smile smile. The benefits of a public network for Ami to stalk troll read and listen to! "Inoue Orihime-chan."

Okay, that was more than a little creepy. Orihime wasn't sure how she felt about a stranger who didn't seem to like her having her name.

"A-Ano... how did you get my name?"

"I'm a genius." Legs cross as Ami sits, that smile on her face not going away anytime soon. "I know many things~!"

"Oh, I guess that makes sense..."

How it makes sense to anyone other than Orihime is anyone's guess, but given a moment to think about it, she also comes to the conclusion that it doesn't make sense either!

"Wait, no it doesn't! I don't know your name, either!"

"I'm not surprised!" The voice is almost singsong, but there is an edge of wrongness to it. Ah, she was enjoying this. "I did say I was a genius."

Oh, now she was just messing with her.

"But you never told me, so how could I know?"

"Are you really that dense?" Ami crossed her arms. "I don't have to tell you my name, in order for you to learn it."

It's a hint. Perhaps Orihime might get it. Or perhaps Ami might need to spell it out even more to her. Given Ami's already low opinion of the poor girl, she reasoned it would end up being the latter situation happening.

She's not all that good with electronics, though, so it's not even occurred to her.

"I could ask other people, but that would be rude, don't you think?"

"Being polite gets you nowhere."

Oh, Orihime. She. Is enjoying this. Way too much.

"I don't see a reason to be rude, though. It doesn't really help much either."

"What you call rude, is actually being truthful."

Reply

holyfight October 26 2010, 00:25:34 UTC
Well, this was a welcome distraction.

"You can be truthful without being hurtful, though."

"The truth hurts. Anyone who tries to say otherwise is simply fooling themselves."

Doesn't she know it. Hadn't she tried to be friends with others, only to find their friendship only lasted for as long as she was useful?
