Want to help me make a film???
I'm most likely signing up for the 48 Hour Film Project (http://www. 48hourfilm. com/). I have pretty sweet video editing software and I'm working on borrowing a camera. I just need some fellow creative types to help me pull this off (help with acting, writing, scouting out locations, etc.). Absolutely no experience is required.
The 48 Hour Film Project is a competition that begins at 7PM on July 25th. Each crew is given 48 hours to produce a 4-7 minute film that incorporates a genre (crime, horror, romance) and elements that the project provides (such as a prop, line of dialogue, etc.). The entries are screened at the Fleur Cinema and the finalists compete on August 14th.
I'm going to decide for sure by June 30th, when the early bird registration is due. If you live in or around Des Moines and want to sacrifice a weekend to art, send me a message.
I doubt there will be any prize money, but if there is, I plan on sharing everything equally with everyone involved.
