I'm addicted to complaining.
I absolutely must find a new job... preferably something that allows me to get in a few hours of reading on occasion. Collecting on the phones is killing me. I'm too much of a sissy to deal with being hung up on 100 times a day, chewed out a dozen, and cried upon a few. I don't mind my co-workers and boss, but who knows how long I'll be around in that department.
I could work with computers, but what's a good way of getting a job working with computers without having to get another damned degree? There are countless comp sci kiddies out there without jobs. My chances there seem slim. Would taking online classes or studying up for my certification do me any good?
And there's always just coming up with simple but clever websites and pulling in the ad revenue. I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen. As if there already aren't thousands of douche bags out there doing it already.
I could always start my own business, which sounded appealing until I started collecting mortgage payments from down and out self employed people. You can do absurdly well running your own business. You can also lose everything. Most break even at the cost of 60+ work weeks and stress.
I would love to write, but that's a dream. I can shit out a few pages here and there, but can't devote myself to a long project. The passion and interest wane. I'm working towards this, but need something else to pay off my mortgage in the meantime.
