Bears
So there's been a lot of bear sightings in the area lately.( I wasn't even aware that there were bears in the Panhandle, to be honest.) Normally, I wouldn't give a fap and would simply continue going about my life obliviously, while letting the police handle the animals--but then this week happened.
Just this week there have been at least two bear sightings RIGHT BY OUR HOUSE. I'm not talking about a couple of blocks, but in our YARD. There's been two BEARS in our YARD. And the family dog that I always felt was sort of worthless and seemed so stupid, actually ATTACKED one of the BEARS. Actually, no--he not only ATTACKED the BEAR, he DROVE the BEAR OFF. My silly dog with the mismatched name DROVE OFF a BEAR. Holy crap.
The bear was pretty young, and kind of small, but it was still bigger than Riku. I'm just so surprised. This is the second time in a week that a bear has shown up at our house (one of them was marking a tree with its claws, the first time) and it probably won't be the last since the bears have continuously managed to elude the police...but HOLY CRAP, my worthless, mangy DOG took on a BEAR and WON. It actually makes me really proud. ;_;
