Everybody loves hospitals
Yeah so today my love for body piercings finally bit me on my ass. One of my top earrings has been sore for a few days and this morning I took a closer look and realised the stud was actually retreating into the skin of my ear... and as a result was very very very painful and we couldn't get a grip on the stud to pull it out coz there was nothing to grab, as it was surrounded by swollen skin.
After about an hour of trying to numb my ear with ice and lots of tears trying to get the damn thing out, I rang TNT Tattooing & Piercing, they said to come in so they could have a look but it would cost me, I rang my doctor but couldn't get in to see him until next week, so I rang my mum and she said to go to the hospital coz it's free and quicker than waiting for a doctor's appointment.
So yeah Paul and I went over the emergency room and told them what was going on... bout 15 minutes later I went in to the nurse who assessed the situation and everything. She put some numbing cream on my ear and Paul came in to see me while we waited for the cream to start working.
So after about half an hour 2 nurses came back and the ordeal took a damn painful turn. It took both of them, with pliers/forceps, me crying my eyes out, and I swear on my life that I have never felt anything SO DAMN PAINFUL in my life. Even all the piercings I've had - nose, ears, belly, tongue, tragus, labret - they were all heavenly compared to this pain and if there weren't 3 people (Paul was there too) holding me down I would've ended up knocking someone out.
So yeah. After that was over, we went shopping, and I got almost all of my Christmas shopping done.
Hahaha.
