Entry 002: First day back to work in the new year
Before I legit start my entry, I wanted to thank all the people I got holiday and Christmas cards from yumi_usagi himitsuru, winged_kame, melonpunch, shigures_hsgirl, tumbletot, Rin, Ms. P, Janette, Margaret, Veronica, Tiffany, and Heng Yee
I woke up pretty late today but luckily the roads were still clear enough with people on vacation which got me to work on time. A lot of my coworkers are still out on vacation too so it was pretty much a quiet day. Sadly, we heard that an employee of the company in corporate died. I never knew this employee since I am fairly new but a lot of my coworkers did and it was sad to see death so early in the year. :<
Anyway, last night I came across the fact that CLAMP's xxxHOLiC has a live action drama adaptation airing in February. The main website is HERE. I'm quite a fan of many of CLAMP's work but xxxHOLiC (I don't know why it's spelled that way but that's how it is on the drama website so I'm following it, haha) was never really one of their works I followed. It felt a little overwhelming to see it being tied to Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. However, I did see a few of the anime episodes of xxxHOLiC a few years ago and I was interested in it enough. Anne is cast to be the lead female and I quite liked her in Yokai Ningen Bem so I might want to watch this. I also want to give the manga a shot. I'm more partial to manga over anime a lot of the time. I know it's licensed but I have to check if the manga scanlations are still online somewhere. I would like to try it out first before considering buying physical or digital copies.
Ahhh... for this entry I wanted to share some of my thoughts on the Johnny's Countdown 2012-2013 broadcast but I haven't had the time to watch it even though I have it downloaded. Darn, it was on my to-do list too...
Which reminds me!
Around this past October or so I started doing to-do lists for myself to try and keep track of the things I want, should, and have to do for the day. I was hitting a point where after work and on the weekends I wanted to do nothing but lay in bed or mindlessly be on the internet. I would procrastinate even the simplest of things so I decided to make a list of all the tasks I should do. I thought that writing it down on a physical piece of paper from one of my nice and cute notepads would push me to make the use of the paper worth it by actually doing the tasks. Silly, I know. XP Also, if I did complete one of my tasks, it felt good to actually cross it out.
By the end of 2012 I managed to do 25 to-do lists (where one list combined the weekend as a whole). Whenever I would complete one, I would put the paper into my A4 sized Yamapi clearfile that I got for buying the Super Good, Super Bad blu-ray.
To be honest, the SGSB clearfile isn't very... attractive. XD So, for 2013, I decided to change it up.
I got this cute Sentimental Circus notepad from akumanakoi or Christmas so I wanted to make some good use of it!
With the new notepad paper, I wanted to use the new Yamapi A4 clearfile I got with the EroP dvd. I like this clearfile a lot more, haha. I hope I get to fill up this clearfile a lot this year~
Anyway, that's all I have for today. It's almost midnight. Goodnight!
