It had been a while since Rikku had been in a steal-off. The last person that had challenged her had been Brother, and she'd beaten him easily. Too easily. Not only was he terrible at being stealthy, but once her dad had caught him the old man had beaten the poor boy to a pulp. She'd almost felt bad for him; that is, until she'd gotten her hands on that sphere they'd been going for. As soon as the orb was in her deft fingers, she hadn't held back on gloating. Since the subject had come up again, the Al Bhed couldn't deny that she had sort of a craving for nicking precious things. So maybe she had more than a touch of kleptomania.

Spying who she assumed to be Lupin (he stuck out like a green chocobo), the blonde girl grinned and sauntered towards him. "Thanks," she replied breezily, her scarf swishing around as she walked. "Nice to finally meet you, Lupin."

When he saw this nice looking feminine one in person--oh boy he felt the 'wolf' inside him howl. The girl didn't look to be a famine fetal type, nope. Lupin can judge the agility of this girl just by looking at her legs. The arms, though covered he can see the outline of her body, this girl seems quick the most. What really caught his attention were the girl's fingers. Very faint, he can tell this girl has pretty good grip, she may have a weapon and maybe a small trace of powder ( ... )

The blonde girl happily took his hand, shaking it with a friendly smile. He seemed more of a gentleman in person than he had over the journals, and that was a plus. At least it didn't seem like she had to worry about wandering hands at the moment.

She blinked in surprise as he said they had to go so quickly; did he think someone was watching them? She looked around, swirled eyes sweeping over the area. She didn't see anyone... but then again, some people could be extremely stealthy, and she would know. With a small shrug, the thief swiftly followed him, hands clasped behind her back as she walked. "What're the stakes?" she asked once they were inside. Every contest had to have stakes, right?

When it comes to business, even with women, Lupin is serious. After all, even a beauty like that challenging him, pride was in sake. When the job is done then there will be time to play.

Lupin strolls his way to a worn out table. Placing his palm down on the table, Lupin swings his foot over his ankle resting his other hand on his hip, fist clutch. The 'wolf' kept his teeth together as he chuckles again hearing the girl's response. "Nope," he begins. "No stakes." Greed wasn't the issue here, simply pride. "It's all about honor, babe," Lupin finishes as he pushes himself off the table standing upright. "I believe you want to prove you are the best thief, am I right?" He asked grinning as he arched his eyebrow knowing the girl's answer.
