Naruto had used the advantage of clones to find Sasuke. It wasn’t the first time he saw him in purg so it wasn’t that much of a big deal to see Sasuke again. It was easier to resist the urge of interacting with him. He kept his distance, careful not to let his presence be known to him. He followed him to the woods and did not enter the clearing; instead, used the trees to get a good view at the ground beneath him.

Aaron's post had sounded urgent and Orochimaru's presence did not help Naruto's frustration. He wasn't sure if Sakura had seen Aaron's post and couldn't find her in the house anywhere. He left after a brief search for her, not wanting to be late for anything. He knew she would show up eventually, or at least he hoped. Naruto did not underestimate Orochimaru and even admitted to himself that he would need help if he had to fight him. There was no sign of Kakashi anywhere even though he had replied to Aaron. Kakashi was a jounin level ninja so it wouldn’t surprise him if he was lurking farther back.

Naruto watched as Sasori hook arms with Sasuke, squinting his eyes. He could hear them chatting, but just barely.

Sasori was no so easy to sneak up on; he sensed the faint chakra presence, and, with a slight glance over his shoulder, placed a freezing jutsu on Naruto. Something to actually keep the damn boy quiet; let him watch, watch as his friend died.
