Summary: Zack and Naminé reflect on the entire kidnapping mess.
For as exhausted as Naminé was, she could only think to how some of the others were feeling right then. Poor Kairi, who'd spent the previous day bound and in the care of a mad scientist. Or Sora, who'd looked so shaken and out of it upon reverting back from Antiform (she still wasn't certain what caused him to change in the first place; no inkling of what had transpired with Roxas across town or that anything had been amiss in that regard). Then Vincent, having to deal with someone so tightly intertwined with his past...
Then, of course, Zack. She knew how worried he'd probably been, how hard it was for him to agree to letting her go into that house all alone. Naminé was happy that he'd permitted it at all (mainly because they had no choice, but still), and happier yet that their powers had been unsealed so she had use of the materia. Without it, well... she wasn't entirely sure how well that whole thing would have gone over.
But not worth thinking about just then, she eventually decided. They were just arriving home, and after spending a few days without Zack in the upper level with her, she was eager to get back to a sense of normality. Sleeping in bed alone (or on the stairs leading to the lower level) was not a preferable option to having Zack beside her.
She shuffled into the small home, kicking off her sandals near the door and sighing.
Home sweet home. Maybe she'd never leave again, just to be safe.
