Who: Bella, Hao When: During the magic event. Where: A NPC-occupied house in Purgatorium. Rating: R. Warnings: Lots of violence and torture. Summary: Bella decides that she wants a better house.
Hao had gone out to test his power over the elements, which indeed all had returned as mentioned by the gods. Then, he called upon Spirit of Fire...
...and the large, mecha-like spirit was summoned from the other world. Excellent. Hao had Spirit of Fire hide himself for the time being and returned to his home with Bella and Hiruma.
"The gods are on our side. Hn. I wonder how long this will last." Hao commented before laughing. "We've waited long enough. Let's go."
"Yes, they are. I bet they're regretting it already," Bella said with a laugh as she left the house.
"I picked out a better house for us. We'll have to kill the family currently residing in it, but I have no problem with that," Bella shrugged. "I can put spells on it so that nobody will see the house and nobody but us will be able to get into the house."
Hmph. Hao wanted to test out Spirit of Fire, find strong comrades, and absorb the power of the gods. Sure, Bella's current interest conflicted with his own, but this would be a good chance to instill fear in people's hearts--assuming that others would hear about it, that was. Well, it was as good as any start, so he might as well roll with it.
"Ah, a new hideaway would do us well enough. It's far away from others, right?" He looked up at the miserable gray sky and smiled. "After we do this, I have to search for my other half. But tell me if you'd like to come along--if we meet other strong fighters, they could become very useful comrades." Useful... and disposable. Heh.
"Of course it's far away from others. It's no fun killing people if you can be tracked down easily," Bella said as they walked down the abandoned street. "I'll happily go with you to hunt down other fighters. But I don't want anyone else knowing about our house," she said. "It'd be impractical to share our secret. It wouldn't be a secret then."
She walked in silence, leading Hao further to the edges of the town. They found themselves in a pretty much completely abandoned part of town. Bella smiled as she turned down a side street and stopped in front of a rather nice house. Nice by Purgatorium standards, at least. All the windows had clean glass and the roof and walls were solid and clean.
"There it is. There's a family in there, with 2 kids. Nobody will miss them," Bella smiled.
"Even if we could be tracked easily, I wouldn't be too concerned with it." Smirking thoughtfully, Hao continued, "I just figured that a faraway place meant less noise to listen to." If there was anyone that Hao knew he had to worry about, it was that blonde murderer girl with the shinigami eyes--if she so much as glanced at him and wrote his name in the death note, he'd surely die. Granted, he could just as easily come back to life, but he'd rather not die in such a trivial manner.
He complied to following her, but to him there was no point in sinking as low as exterminating a poor innocent family--not yet, at least. Since Bella had it in her mind to torture them, though, he might as well enjoy the show for now. "Ah~a, so you want to play with them?" He put on a sickly-sweet smile. "Sure. I don't mind you amusing yourself. I'll cut in if you feel it's necessary--which I'm sure you won't since this shouldn't be any trouble for a wizard of you calibur."
"Less noise is definitely a good thing," Bella laughed.
"Well, they're muggles, and they'd definitely be better off dead than in this hellhole," Bella shrugged. She stretched and then walked up to the front door of the house, pointing at it. "Alohomora," she said, smiling as the door crashed open. She stalked into the hallway of the house, smiling as the mother and father of the family screamed.
"Now, now, pretties. No reason to scream. Yet," Bella said as she went up the staircase, to the bedrooms above. "And we got here early enough that they're still in their jammies. Isn't that so cute?" Bella laughed as she opened the master bedroom door, smiling a deadly smile. "Obscuro," she said, pointing her wand at each person's head, the spell causing a blindfold to cover their eyes. "Petrificus Totalus," she said, pointing her wand at each person's body and laughing as they became stiff and unable to move. "That'll keep them from running away," Bella said with a laugh as she went to the children's room
( ... )
Hao was truly amused. Truly he'd never seen Bella so... lively, before. If that was the right word for it. He was really ready to quickly dispose of the bodies, but it seemed that Bella had other plans. "Oh? You don't want to get rid of them now? I could easily take care of that for you." But he quickly envisioned revealing to the immobilized parents the bodies of their dead children--their horrified looks would be priceless. "Hn, I think I see." In that case, he'd allow her the freedom to do whatever she wanted.
Bella smiled. "Indeed. There's nothing like breaking a victim's spirit before you break their body," she said cheerfully. She used her wand to levitate each parent into the hall, placing them in front of the door, where they could see their children.
With a grin, she whispered into the mother's ear. "When I'm done with you, you'll beg me to kill you," she laughed. Then she cast crucio on the woman, laughing brightly as the woman did the only thing she could do while immobilized--let out a bloodcurdling scream.
The thoughts that ran through the mother's mind were those instinctive, protective parental thoughts. Hao suddenly thought of his mother (referring to his mother during the third incarnation)--she, with her father and husband beside her, had been prepared to dispose of him for fear of his power and ideals. They were ready to do it, even if it meant killing both him and Yoh. Chicheena... (translates to 'Extremely tiny' but also 'Pathetically weak') he thought to himself as he watched the woman cry out in vain. Uesless. Weak. Pathetic. Worthless. In the end, all humans were like that.
Inwardly, Hao was only justifying their actions or rationalizing. Outwardly... he laughed. Maniacal laughter. Laughter that erupted for the sole purpose of preventing himself from losing composure and control, although even now he hardly seemed composed at all. At the very least, he feigned amusement while turmoil boiled in his mind.
Bella laughed with Hao, and pointed her wand at the father, casting crucio on him also. He screamed in pain, and Bella laughed gleefully, letting the immobilization spell fall so he could writhe on the floor.
