Who: Larxene, Rufus ShinRa
Where: ShinRa office.
Rating: PG-13.
Warnings: Larxene being bitchy. And then sweet. And then macking on her new boss, go figure.
Summary: Larxene's in a very foul mood and shows her lack of intelligence by choosing to visit Rufus.
It was probably fortunate that Larxene didn't run into anyone on her way to the office. Fortunate for other people, and fortunate for her, because she'd have loved to go pick a fight with the first victim she came across and given her luck lately, it would have figured if the Gods decided to punish her for it.
Fucking lame. I've been good ever since showing up in this Hell-hole. She paused, kicked viciously at a can in the middle of the road, and continued on. And what have I gotten for it?
Nothing. Except headaches, and confusion, and annoyance. She didn't claim to understand any of what she was feeling lately (Not feeling. I don't feel. No heart.), the dejection and the depression. She was lonely and doing her best to blame that on the fact that before arriving in Purgatorium, she'd never been alone.
Marluxia had always, always been there. Axel, too, to a lesser degree. Always there to bitch at and argue with and taunt and torment, all in good fun because that was just how they all worked.
And then Axel had to fuck everything up, for Roxas.
Roxas this, Roxas that...
Larxene idly wondered if Naminé knew that; knew that Axel hadn't saved her because he liked her or anything, but because she was convenient for his purpose and she'd done just what a good little pawn should. Somehow, Larxene didn't think Naminé knew (nor cared), and she honestly... didn't feel like telling the brat, either.
So. Bad mood, no company. Larxene figured this needed to be solved. Unfortunately, she was still ego-bruised from Sasori and Axel, so they were both off the list.
That left... pretty much no one.
Except her ever so charming and stick-up-his-ass boss.
Really, she was visiting with the intent of one thing: to hand over that serum she'd received from Hojo. The original plan had been to make Axel drink the stuff, but she'd had high hopes that it would work for longer periods of time and didn't contain so many damaging side-effects. Really, then, she had no use for it, but perhaps it would come in handy for him, and maybe Larxene would at least get a 'good job' or something to make her feel somewhat appreciated.
And so to the office she went, strolling all the way up the stairs to the top floor in order to reach Rufus' office. She was even a good girl and knocked instead of just barging in.
