Summary: Fay mentions attempting to get drunk, and Doumeki agrees. Anyone can join in because, well In a total plug that isn't about keeping activity up it's new years.

Fay was sitting at the bar in the tavern, sipping at a glass of wine. In the kitchen he had something cooking in the oven, so he was technically working and thus allowed in the tavern. To be honest, he hadn't been planning on a party or even company when he announced his plans to get utterly wasted, but it was probably for the best.

He missed Kurogane, he realised with a start. Kurogane should have been beside him, drinking sake silently. He also missed Tsukasa hovering nervously nearby, Syaoran making sure Sakura didn't drink anything herself- ah, but best not to think about those two. He would be missing them for a long long time, no need to start now. Fay sighed into his drink and chuckled, hearing Doumeki enter but not responding to him.

Spotting the blond, he merely walked past the seated magician to go behind the bar. Grabbing a bottle of Sake and glasses he went back to take a seat beside him. A simple "Yo," was all he used for a greeting before pouring himself a drink.

It was...diffrent finally not spending a holiday with the idiot he had become acustomed to, or the witch attempted to share booze with everyone. Almost everyone he had come to know here eventually seemed to leave. Raising his glass, he sipped on it. Maybe Fay's company wasn't that bad afterall.

Fay smiled lightly at Doumeki. "Hi!" No sense in worrying the boy. "How are you?"

"Hn." He softly made the sound, before gulping down the drink. "Decent," came his reply before setting the glass down with a soft clank of glass aginst wood. "You're doing it again."

Fay paused for a moment, looking surprised at Doumeki. Then he looked away, smiling sheepishly. "I suppose so."

"...Idiot. You shouldn't keep up this fake happy act." Waiting a moment, he debating if asking would even warrant a true answer. "What about youself?"

"I'm about as happy as I can be in this place," Fay shrugged. "There's no point in worrying anyone else over things that can't be helped."

"Until you tear yourself up over it." He looked off pouring another drink as his eyes closed briefly. "Don't go doing something more stupid than normal."

Fay chuckled. "I won't, don't worry."

[bentorequests]

"I don't recall being worried."

[norealsmiles]

"Of course not," Fay said with amusement clear in his voice, "Shizuka-kun never worries!"

"Stop with that nickname." His monotone voice didn't show any hint of his true annoyance at the magician, as he took another drink of sake.

"It's not a nickname, it's your name. A nickname would be something cute like Shi-kun!" Fay declared before taking a sip of his own drink, "Or Shishi!"

"You know what I meant, Idiot." He took another sip of his own drink somewhat annoyed with himself at giving Fay new fuel to annoy himself with.

"I'm afraid I have no idea," Fay said, leaning back and stretching. "Shi-chan."

Not giving him the pleasure of snapping back at him, he merely took another sip of his drink paying attention to something else beside the man next to him.
