Who: Mizore & Doumeki When: Dec. 21st, Midday Where: Chalkoi Rating: PG Warnings: Craziness! Summary: Doumeki heads to Chalkoi to save Mizore who has, for lack of a better explanation, lost her mind.
Needless to say, he wasn't exactly thrilled to be heading into Chalkoi. He hadn't been here long enough to really get his abilities back, making him far more of a target then he wished to be. Though something was a miss, Mizore hadn't usually acted like this. ...Irony that he would call someone out on judging his character not to be this reckless only to actually do it. He'd have to worry about Fay's complaints later though, now his priority was getting Mizore away from this place.
At least she had made it easy to find him, though she had likely only made it easier for some creature to trail her as well. "...Least a corpse would be easier to drag out of here at this rate." He softly joked to himself, avoiding the ice along the path he attempted to take note of his surroundings. Calling out would only draw more attention to himself as well as her, annoying. Quickening his pace he remained silent, the soft sound of his steps the only noise he projected.
A mouth opened wide before her, exposing several rows of teeth and a green tongue, and immediately began to close over her. She met this greeting, or threat, with a considerably large dose of ice. With a few punches, she moved the gaping, frozen, maw away from her and watched with glee as it shattered to the ground.
"Weak~" She giggled "Not like the one I need to kill. You're weak, weak, weak."
Turning back, Mizore glanced down the hallway that she had been walking down. No one in sight. No Doumeki yet.
"Oh well..." She mused, freezing a path to the left of the beast. "He'll catch up!"
The sound of shattering was likely easy enough to place. At least her trail seemed to lead in the right direction after all. Something...was off about this place though. It wasn't just the normal, "Oh look we're in a hellhole," kinda of weird..
Needless to say, he atempted to keep moving instead of dwelling on such thoughts. It was hard enough to attempt to lose the creatures of this place, while following a trail. This was nothing more then a game of cat and mouse, and they had luckily drawn the short straws on getting to play as mice.
He'd stopped when he came across the mangled ice form and shards along the ground. "...Pleasent." This had at least been the source of all the noise, as un reassuring as that was. "Hn." Taking off down the left path, he figured she couldn't have gotten that far in her delusional state.
There were but two things in the dungeon known as Chalkoi that could come as a relief in Mizore's current state of mind. The first was the very beast that was initially responsible for her "condition", and the second was Doumeki. She had come to an unfortunate dead end and was forced to look back where she had come from, and had been curious as to what it was that was following her. Footsteps, for sure, and... nothing more. It could be anything. At last, the follower turned the corner and his eyes met with her own gaze.
"It took you long enough to catch up..." Mizore giggled "...Doumeki."
And as he rounded the corner...he stopped as eyes would meet his. Silence would be his only responce as he ;ooked off away from her, making note to check for any injuries she might have come to obtain. "Mizore." He finally responded voice in it's usual monotone pitch.
"So!" Mizore began, continuing her increasingly strange behavior "Now all we need to do is find the monster!" she proclaimed, slowly walking back towards Doumeki. As was fitting for her, but not for her normal state of mind, the very ground, walls, and ceiling behind where she walked were slowly freezing over and glistening under a jagged sheet of ice.
As she passed, his hands softly grabbed her wrist. Applying enough pressure to keep her from moving away, yet not enough to make it at all painful. "You need to leave." He retorted softly, watching the ice work over the walls and ground as she started moving.
Rethinking this measure, he decided to follow her. Keeping ahold of her wrist to keep her from running off. "...What are you even looking for?"
Mizore walked forward unhindered and uninfluenced by Doumeki's actions. She made no move to remove his hand and chose to ultimately ignore it. The ice following after her movements receded slightly so as to not freeze Doumeki, but it did continue following them as they strolled along. Mizore turned the corner, walking back the way she had come.
Entirely ignoring his first words, she answered his question. "I'm looking for the monster, of course. The one that..." she paused, ice slowing forming on her fingertips "...I was supposed to kill"
