Who: Hikaru and Tsukasa
When:On the 9th, around Midday.
Where: Hikaru's room
Rating: G
Warnings: Minor shipping.
Summary: Hikaru is sad because of Umi leaving after the event ended so Tsukasa is going to try cheering her up.

( LJ ate this post the first time through, I'm not thinking of a clever cut line two times in a row. )

Tsukasa wandered over to Celestial Being's headquarters as soon as Hikaru had said it was all right for him to come over. He didn't like seeing her sad - it made him feel a little sick inside. She didn't deserve to be sad...

He made his way up to her room once he had been let inside, and knocked gently on her door.

"Hikaru?" He called softly.

Hikaru looked up, slightly startled, when she heard Tsukasa's voice. Quickly smiling, she jumped up and ran over to the door to open it. "Tsukasa! Hi!" Hikaru knew it annoyed people when she tried to make them not worry about her, but she couldn't help it. She hated to see her friends sad, and to think she was the one who caused it... Especially over something as small as this.

Tsukasa smiled a little, and stepped inside her room, fidgeting a little bit. He was still kind of awkward in social situations, despite all the time he had spent in Purgatory. People were scary sometimes.

Not Hikaru, though. ... She just made his stomach feel funny.

"What's going on?"

Smiling at Tsukasa, Hikaru stepped aside to let him enter the room. She liked Tsukasa, he was always so kind. Sometimes he reminded her of a scared animal though, and that made her worry about him. But that was all the more reason to be friends with him, in Hikaru's book.

"Not much. Just... hanging out. You know." She sat back down on her bed and smiled up at him. She didn't want Tsukasa to worry about her, she didn't want him to ever be sad because of her.

"You didn't sound so happy over the network..." Tsukasa set his staff aside and sat down next to her.

"One of your friends was here, right?"

"Yeah..." Hikaru looked down. "Umi. Mokona was here too but I didn't get a chance to talk to it properly. There was another me too. Umi was the only one I got to properly meet though... Did you get to talk to her? She's really nice!"

"No, I didn't." Tsukasa swallowed hard and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "I'm glad you got to talk to... Umi, though."

Hikaru was a little surprised by Tsukasa putting his arm around her, but the body contact was a little nice so she leaned against him, resting her head on his shoulder. "Mm. It was nice to see her again, I wish Fuu had come with her. Then we could have all been together!" She had a small smile as she thought about that. It would have been nice to all be together, her, Umi, Fuu, Mokona... "I wanted to introduce you too her, but she left before I got the chance."

"Sorry... I was kind of hiding out. I don't really like being around large groups of people." He sighed. "I didn't see anyone I recognized. I don't know if I'm glad about that or not."

He wondered if he should tell her about the 'other' Tsukasa who was apparently in Purgatory.

"You didn't get to see any of your friends? That's too bad." But considering what she knew about Tsukasa's home life... She looked up at Tsukasa from her position by his side."But if you don't like big groups of people, it's good you had somewhere to hide."

Tsukasa nodded. "Yeah." He was quiet for a bit, before he spoke again. "Apparently there was an older 'me' here, though. Who remembered being here."

"An older Tsukasa?" Hikaru sat up properly and stared at him. "Like from your future? That's so amazing! There was another me as well, but I think we were the same age..."

"Yeah." Tsukasa squeezed his eyes shut. "The older me was a girl, though. That's what I look like outside of the game. And after a few years, apparently."

"A girl?" Hikaru asked, completely shocked. If Tsukasa's future self was a girl then would something happen in the future that made Tsukasa's gender change? That was so strange! But he'd said that's what he looked like... It was true that in all the computer games she'd seen, the people had looked different to the people playing so she guessed that kind of made sense. "Tsukasa, you're a girl back home?"

Tsukasa nodded. "I don't remember much. And I don't feel particularly girly." He fidgeted with his robe a little. "I'm just... I don't know. I don't think my father wanted a girl. He wanted a son instead..."

"It suits you, a little," Hikaru admitted, once the shock wore off. "Now I imagine it, you'd make a really cute girl!" As for the second part, "My parents had three sons before me, Mama said they'd been trying for a girl. But I think that whatever their preference might have been, parents will love their child no matter their gender." Of course, Tsukasa's situation was different... She carefully took a hold of his hand. "I think Tsukasa is Tsukasa where you're a girl or a boy... if that helps at all."
