Summary: Now that Marina has access, Saji accompanies her on her first trip to the Upper Level. ...It's not a date even if Louise suspects that.
Finally, a month. Time had passed rather quickly but now that it was finally here, she felt as though she had waited half an eternity to receive access to this mysterious Upper Level. Finally, sunlight and the scent of fresh air. Finally, she would be able to see the sky again and she realized just how depressing things seemed when there was no sky and no sun. She hoped to see something beautiful as well-plants and tress, blooming flowers, anything but the usual barren things on the lower level.
Saji had agreed to come with her and although she wanted to spend time with Setsuna as well, she had decided to go with Saji alone for now. They hadn't talked very much just yet but it was much easier to talk with Saji on a casual level than it was with Setsuna. With Setsuna, it seemed as though they were either discussing humanity or she was trying too hard to teach him about things he might not even be interested in. Sometimes, she wondered if she was becoming too bold in her instincts to take care of him. He was a grown man, not a child, and she wasn't really the older sister she sometimes felt like. Saji, on the other hand, was very amiable and she appreciated his efforts to help her adjust to this place when he hadn't been here for very long either. She also hoped to get to know him a little better, having seen him on board of the Ptolemaios II only a few times, and becoming a little more familiar with each other here slowly.
Today would be a good day, she thought to herself, smiling a little when she made her way to Celestial Being headquarters, where she and Saji decided to meet.
