Summary: Claire's walking home and B stumbles across her in a dangerous situation. Hilarity ensues at the end.

She knew that deep down, she was a brat. She was a little girl pretending to be grown, an innocent little lamb in a pack of wolves. She didn't fit in with the people of purgatory all that well, and the more acquainted she became with people like Joker and B, the more she realized it. Which was exactly why she was so desperate to prove to herself that she was stronger, even slightly stronger, than the seventeen year old who she actually was. Somehow, it would have made her feel ten times better about being called a brat, being told that she needed to grow up. But she had plenty of time to prove herself to be older and more mature...once she got home and was out of the weird weather. She had no weapon, not that she felt like she needed one. She was just going to make her way home through the edge of the forest, get through without getting eaten by any monsters. And that, as silly as it sounded, was more than enough to make her feel like a semi-strong person. And hey, she just might find a pokemon along the way.

She had been walking with trees on either side of her when she was caught off guard by a canine like monster. With the lightning storm raging up above them, it was easy to imagine that the monsters of purgatory were scared and skittish, acting and attacking differently than they normally would have. The stupid thing wasn't so large that it was able to drag her away, but it was large enough to knock her over and cause her head to hit a rock. Which wasn't much of a concern, really, as it only began to heal right away, but that didn't stop her from screaming. She screamed in protest and annoyance, legs attempting to swing upward enough so that she could kick the thing off of her. With the heavy weight atop her, she wasn't able to do much other than simply squirm, allowing the snarling monster to get its teeth and claws all across her body. No matter where it lashed out at her and gashed, the wounds only healed, which caused both Claire and her beastly assailant to cry out in frustration. Was she ever going to be able to go home without her clothes being trashed and bloody?

Seeing as how things were going nowhere and fast, Claire did the first thing that came to mind, the thing that she had been taught to do when roughhousing with her brother. Punch. Balling up her fists, she began to slug the monster in the face, until she was able to hit a weak spot that caused the thing to back off. When distance was created between them, Claire scrambled to her feet, and focused her anger into several kicks to the creature's midsection. She was honestly surprised when it turned tail and backed off, fur on its back standing up as it stared her down.

"This isn't going to go anywhere, we both know that." She snapped, as if it actually understood her and was going to respond. Crossing her arms over her chest, she just stared, waiting for it to decide to run off or attack her once again. She still screamed and scurried back, however (all signs of her momentarily tough attitude gone and lost), as it lunged at her once again, in an attempt to tackle her back down to the ground.
