Who: Marina and Wiskay (Open) When: this afternoon Where: Streets Rating: PG Warnings: Well, it's Marina so...yeah^^ Summary: Marina and Wiskay meet to do some shopping
The beast's charge stopped as Wiskay's claws sank in, which stopped him juuuust short of Mirna. Lucky girl...or perhaps that gnome had something to do with it. Anyway, the minotaur reared up on its hind legs again and balled its hands into fists, bringing them down heavily upon Wiskay's head and back. Wiskay, however, was too pissed off to be phased by the attack. Rage could be useful sometimes, at least. "Fuck. You." He spit out, scratching at the thing's neck with his free claws while biting at the minotaur's crouch. The thing was very unhappy with this turn of events. It bellowed, grabbing at Wiskay's neck and trying to pull the digimon away from itself. However, this really only managed to make things worse, as Wiskay's jaws drew away hunks of flesh as his head was moved away. While the minotaur was pulling Wiskay away, the Fangmon brought his hind legs into play. He didn't usually use them in battle, but things were currently tough and Wiskay was through pretending he didn't fight well. He kicked hard, driving his hind claws into the minotaur's side. It was really only a matter of time now.
((ooc: neh, I suck at writing action scenes in this format -.-))
Marina's eyes were wide as the thing came so close to her. "Holy turnips!" she exclaimed, scrambling back. She watched the fight with wide hazel eyes. This was so exciting! She was not borthered by the blood and gore of the fight but she was fascinated with how brave Wiskey was.
The beast did eventally manage to pull Wiskay off of itself and toss the digimon down the alley. Wiskay came away, however, with a few vital organs and more hunks of soon to be dead flesh. Angry, but well aware it was dying, the minotaur struck out at Marina again (as she was the closer one). It swung a fist at her, though much slower and more feeble than its previous attacks had been, before collapsing to the ground.
Wiskay stood and shook himself off, then padded over to the beast. He regaurded it for a few moments before sitting down, content that it was no longer a threat. He waited and watched as the thing's life slowly, painfully, ebbed away.
"Eek!" Marina dodged getting grabbed but smiled, putting her hands on her hips proudly and giving Wiskay a big smile. "I hope you're not hurt! But that was amazing! You're so brave!" the girl gushed proudly, rushing over to him, ready to pull out cloth and turnip balm.
Wiskay turned his gaze from the dying creature--did these monster's deaths count as death? Or were the native to this place and therefor played by different rules?--to Marina. He looked none to pleased, really, and rather battered. "I'll be fine."
"Sit down, rest!" she insisted, taking out a small jar and a bottle, an expression of concern on her face for her friend. "Mirt Jr said that was an amazing fight too!" she added with a smile as she digged around for cloth to use as bandages just in case.
Wiskay frowned and opened his mouth to protest, but decided against it. He lay down, and allowed Marina to treat his wounds with her...whatever it was she had. Something to do with turnips, he was sure.
She tore the cloth she had in stripes and carefully rubbed the wounds with the balm that had a very calming scent. "Its a mixture of turnips and other herbs, it will keep your wounds clean and make them heal fast!" Marina smiled as she worked, making sure to be careful. Her cousin Miranda had taught her the basic skills of treating wounds and common colds since it was important.
"Digimon normally heal quickly. I'll be fine." He sounded less than pleased that she was helping him, but Wiskay made no move to stop her. Instead he remained motionless--or moved so that she could get to what she needed--and watched the beast. As if it would spring up again...or as if he wanted to time the exact moment of its demise.
"I don't even know if that's possible..." Wiskay sighed a bit, and stood up once she was done. The minotaur seemed to have stopped breathing by now, so he had little else to do. Find something else to test his theory? Or go home and rest? He ached too much to try that method again. Perhaps he'd let the girl run things for awhile. Or just give up and try someone else later. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, friend," Marina smiled. "Now, we should get home before it gets dark!" she said cheerfully, grabbing Mirt Jr and her bag. "Can you walk alright?" she asked, worried.
"Heh. Its always dark here. But, yes, I can walk. If you want that thing's meat, however, you're going to have to carry it yourself." Wiskay looked around. He was certain he could get to his place from here, just not so sure about the girl.
"I can do that!" she said with a determined air, grasping one of the monster's horns and started dragging. Despite her size, she was strong for a human girl and slowly she was able to lug it behind her inch by inch. Boy, was she going to be tired by the time she got this thing back to the house.
Wiskay watched her, somewhat amazed that she could move the thing by herself. He offered no help, though...even if he had wanted to he was still rather weak from the beating he took. "Shall I walk you home, or is this where we say good night?"
"You can walk with me if you like and you are welcome over anytime and I will make sure to have some meat on hand," the girl offered with a bright smile even as she slowly lugged the monster along still. It reminded her when she had to plow the turnip fields but she didn't mind a little hard work.
